From then on, he continued in politics, being associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. For this reason, people see him as being close to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Home Minister Amit Shah. He got involved in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and even went to jail for it. Since then, he's been part of many movements across the state. In Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, he has done different important jobs. He played many important roles in organizations like BJP, RSS, and ABVP.
In 2003, Bhajan Lal Sharma contested in assembly elections for the first time with the Rajasthan Samajik Nyay Manch (RSNM) party in Nadbai, Bharatpur. He didn't get many votes, just 5,900, and lost his deposit. Before that, he served as the Sarpanch of his village. He was also a big part of the Rajasthan BJP, serving as its General Secretary four times. In 1990, he joined in Kashmir march with ABVP, and he got arrested along with many others.
Then in 1992, during the Ram Janmabhoomi campaign, he became the leader of BJYM. After that, his political career took off. In 2016, he became the BJP's State General Secretary, and in 2014, he was elected as the State Vice President. During this time, he worked hard to strengthen the BJP in East Rajasthan. He even helped Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, impressing him with his dedication and work ethic.

Bhajan Lal Sharma became the Chief Minister of Rajasthan on December 12, 2023, chosen by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
