The Rajasthan state budget for 2025-26 has meticulously addressed all the critical sectors, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the state’s development. With a focus on fiscal health, youth empowerment, infrastructure, agriculture, and cultural heritage, the budget has dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's, providing targeted solutions and ambitious plans for growth.
From bolstering the state’s fiscal standing with projections of a ₹2,94,536.49 crore revenue receipt and initiatives to drive a $350 billion economy by 2030, to empowering the youth with new employment opportunities and skill development programs, the budget presents a balanced vision for the state’s future.
Additionally, the government has made significant strides in addressing traffic congestion, enhancing agricultural support, and promoting religious tourism, thereby covering all aspects of public welfare and infrastructure.

The Rajasthan state budget has projected a total estimated revenue receipt of Rs 2,94,536.49 crore for the fiscal year. On the other hand, the estimated revenue expenditure is Rs 3,25,545.90 crore, resulting in a revenue deficit of Rs 31,009.41 crore. The state’s fiscal deficit stands at Rs 84,643.63 crore, which is 4.25% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP). Looking ahead, Rajasthan aims to achieve a $350 billion economy by 2030, reflecting the state's ambitious growth trajectory and strategic planning.
Youth remained one of the focus areas of the state budget. Budget made several significant announcements in the 2025-26 budget focusing on youth in areas such as employment, education, and sports. The budget places particular emphasis on creating new employment opportunities, skill development, promoting startups, and expanding sports facilities. One of the key and main attraction of this budget was announcement of filling 1,25,000 government positions with new appointments
Key announcements related to youth development and employment include the establishment of the Vivekanand Employment Assistance Fund with a provision of ₹500 crore under the Rajasthan Employment Policy 2025. .
In the private sector, the target is to provide employment to 1,50,000 youth. Furthermore, the Vishwakarma Youth Entrepreneur Incentive Scheme will be launched, offering 8% interest subsidy on loans of up to ₹2 crore and providing margin money of up to ₹5 lakh. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing employment opportunities, skill development, and entrepreneurship among the youth of Rajasthan.
To ease the growing traffic pressure in the capital city, Jaipur, the government has approved several flyover and elevated road projects in the budget. These include an 80 crore flyover at the OTS Circle, an elevated road costing 185 crores at the Riddhi-Siddhi Circle, and an elevated road between the Jhotwara ROB and Khatipura ROB with an estimated cost of 65 crores.
Additionally, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for elevated roads from Narayansingh Circle to Purana Ramgarh Mor, Khaniya, Bagarana Agra Road, and Aranya Bhavan to Transport Nagar will be prepared at a cost of 3.5 crores. A total of 575 crores will be allocated for the Jaipur Sector Road.
To accelerate the second phase of the Jaipur Metro, the government will invest 12,000 crores for the expansion of the metro network from Sitapura Industrial Area to Ambabadi and Vidhyadhar Nagar (Todi Mod). Furthermore, DPRs will also be prepared for extending the metro to Jagatpura and Vaishali Nagar areas.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi amount has been increased to ₹9,000 per year. The bonus on the MSP of wheat has been raised by ₹150. In the Agriculture Development Scheme, an investment of ₹1,350 crore will be allocated for the next year. To protect crops from animals, 75,000 farmers will receive grants for 30,000 km of fencing. Millet product outlets will be opened at selected locations. A provision of ₹100 crore has been announced for the Tribal Tourist Circuit.
Senior citizens will now be able to travel on religious pilgrimages through the ‘Tirth Yatra’ scheme. The offering amount at temples will be increased to ₹3,000 per month, and the honorarium of priests will be raised to ₹7,500 per month. In Jaipur, the Govind Dev Ji Kala Mahotsav has been announced, marking 300 years of Jaipur’s foundation in 2027. Various cultural programs will be organized, including the Govind Dev Ji Kala Mahotsav.
